History

The Evanston Civic Orchestra and Chorus board was formed in 2012 when the Evanston Civic Orchestra voted to adopt the Evanston Civic Chorus.  The board includes representatives from both the orchestra and chorus.  Aspects of organization such as funding and bookkeeping are managed by the board.  Details of recruitment, membership, programming, and outreach are usually handled by each organization separately.  Though the orchestra and chorus often plan joint concerts, they also perform independently.
